Announcement - .LA Domains Available For Donation

As a follow-up to our previous announcement on July 20th, we've started the process of identifying .LA domains that we would like to donate to the City of Los Angeles, universities, communities, and the entertainment industry. Possible Relationship Between Light (Energy) & Color

I often wondered how light (energy) is able to carry color after bouncing off an object.  For instance, how do the leaves of a tree appear green after the light bounces off them and then enters my eyes?  How does a cloud from a long distance away appear white after the light reflects off its surface and enters my eyes?  How is light (energy) able to carry information on an object's color when making contact with that object and then routing that information to my eyes where that information…

Announcement - GoDaddy Embraces .LA

Recently, GoDaddy announced that it has started selling .LA domains. Those of us that know GoDaddy well understand that this is a very welcome change. Not only is GoDaddy selling .LA domains, but, it is also advertising this effort via billboards throughout LA. Up to this point in time, advertising of .LA was essentially non-existent. Therefore, we very much welcome having a multi-billion dollar revenue company backing .LA with this kind of vision.

We've often wondered why Google has chosen to use Google.LA for Laos when this space is clearly being marketed and used for the LA Metropolitan Area. One thought that came to our mind is the concern of city TLDs becoming the mainstream and with it a redirection of ad dollars going to city coffers.
